AUDI R8 V8/V10 (2007-2015)F1 Sound Valved Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The Audi R8 V8/V10 (2007-2015) consists of:
Exhaust Manifold
Rear Exhaust
Rest assured that we have developed all components after verifying them with actual vehicles.
First, let’s examine the rear exhaust, which is the most common part for achieving the F1 sound in the Audi R8 V8/V10 engine.
Our adjustable rear exhaust features a design that enhances the contrast of the valve switching. In straight mode, it uses an X merge pipe design to produce a high-revving, ultra-high-frequency sound.
The internal piping, perforation, and glass wool placement within the resonator are meticulously calculated to achieve a noise reduction level that matches the stock system when the valve is closed.
Please note that the rear exhaust for the Audi R8 differs between the single-clutch and dual-clutch models and comes in three tailpipe shapes. Therefore, it is essential to verify the details of the vehicle.
Another upgrade option for the exhaust system is the exhaust manifold. The stock exhaust manifold has many areas of exhaust interference. Removing these and making it fully straight improves exhaust flow.
Since installing the exhaust manifold requires removing the engine and is quite expensive, it will not pass vehicle inspections, so it may not be recommended for everyone (sweat).
However, if you are particular about increasing volume and achieving machine-gun-like bubbling sounds, this is a recommended item. The rear exhaust alone, combined with ECU tuning, can also achieve sufficient bubbling, so it can be considered a last resort.
