BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) F1 sound Valved Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The exhaust system for the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) consists of:
Downpipe
Center pipe
Rear exhaust system
The exhaust system design is similar to that of the F90 M5.
First, let's introduce the downpipe from the front side.
This is the stock downpipe for the BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93), which includes a large catalyst to comply with strict European emission regulations, naturally reducing the sound volume.
We offer a straight version with the catalyst removed or a 200-cell sports catalyst* as a paid option. This is not only effective in increasing the volume but also in reducing weight and boosting horsepower.
Next, the cat-back system, an essential sound tuning component following the downpipe. Here, we will introduce the rear exhaust system and center exhaust system simultaneously.
The stock system includes a large silencer that suppresses exhaust efficiency.
In theory, making this section straight can significantly increase the volume, but ignoring exhaust efficiency can lead to an excessively raspy and unpleasant sound.
We incorporate an X-design pipe at the cross-section where the left and right exhaust gases meet. The primary benefit of this X-center pipe is eliminating sound distortion, maintaining the sound output across the high-rev range.
The rear exhaust system uses a variable valve design that allows for switching the volume according to the purpose.
To accentuate the ON/OFF of the valve, we use a larger muffler, ensuring that the sound level in silent mode is comparable to the stock silent mode. This gentleman's specification allows for safe driving even at night or in residential areas.
When the valve is open, it unleashes the engine's full potential, producing a racing sound that enhances the daily driving experience.
We offer a variety of rear exhaust tips, allowing you to choose the best design to match your vehicle's image.
