The exhaust system for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 consists of:
Exhaust manifold
Downpipe
Rear exhaust
The Z06 models are differentiated between US-spec and other versions. As of 2024, Z06 models outside North America, including Japan, generally use a rear exhaust with a side outlet design similar to the base model, rather than the center outlet design found on US-spec models. Additionally, these non-US versions have eco-friendly features like extra sensors and catalytic converters.
If you wish to convert a Japanese-spec Z06 to the US-spec center outlet design, you will need this US-spec exhaust as well as a new rear bumper, but the dramatic improvement in appearance and performance makes it highly recommended!
We are also currently developing rear exhaust options for the Japanese-spec Z06 with side outlets, which will be available for customers upon request.
Currently, our development of the exhaust manifold is still underway, but we can accommodate requests from interested customers.
Let’s first look at the front downpipe.
The stock downpipe features a very large catalytic converter, which restricts sound volume and results in a muffled, deep bass sound.
Our downpipe is designed to produce higher frequency sounds and optimize exhaust efficiency. In addition to a straight pipe, we also offer an optional 200-cell sport catalytic converter at an additional cost.
Next, let’s introduce the rear exhaust.
The stock rear exhaust of the Corvette C8 is divided into two sections on each side, separating the front (center?) and rear pipes.
Notably, each pipe has a motor valve installed, totaling four motors as standard equipment.
Removing the stock motors would cause errors, so we have invested a substantial budget to develop a custom bracket that allows the stock motors to be transferred and operated with our design.
Additionally, the rear exhaust includes a very large silencer, which reduces exhaust efficiency and results in a muffled, deep bass sound.
Our rear exhaust not only achieves weight reduction but also meticulously calculates and designs the piping, punching, and glass wool balance.
To provide a noticeable difference between valve ON and OFF, we use a larger muffler. In silent mode, it is designed to have the same volume level as the stock silent mode, ensuring a gentlemanly specification that allows for Silent driving at night or in residential areas.
When the valve is open, the exhaust crosses over with an X-pipe design to maximize engine potential and produce a racing sound. It’s designed to enhance your everyday driving experience with enjoyable sound tuning.
