Ferrari 458 Speciale F1 Sound Exhaust System | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The Ferrari 458 Speciale consists of the same exhaust manifold, catalytic downpipe, and rear muffler as the 458. Not many people know that the downpipe and exhaust manifold are identical to the ones used in the 458.
Making a conscious effort to develop 458 Speciale Exhaust system was certainly a big challenge, however it became a silver lining afterall.
We had a customer who was willing to help out with the development of the rear muffler, so we are putting CNC sensors on the vehicle and collecting detailed 3D data.
So here at our company, we're all about chasing that F1 sound. We developed a equal-length exhaust manifold to prevent any cracking noises during shifting, and not to mention, we've introduced a sound design with a clean and clear tone that just can't be replicated with aftermarket unequal-length exhaust manifolds from other companies or the stock ones.
The tube size of the exhaust manifold is one size smaller than the genuine one. The reason is that due to the positions of various sensors, it becomes difficult to manufacture a long tube with the genuine size.
In addition, the installation of equal length exhaust manifolds is listed as a premise for achieving high-pitched sounds in the Ferrari 458. While it's true that even with aftermarket unequal length exhaust manifolds, the volume can be increased, and the sound at high revs can be captured more aggressively compared to the genuine ones, the sound may not be as uniform, leaning towards a heavier bass sound.
The downpipe section includes a free heat shield option. It's basically straight, but for those looking for a 200-cell sports catalyst, we offer it at a cost.
Choosing the straight option will make for a pretty loud and forceful sound. If you're someone who likes driving open in a Speciale A or if you're sensitive to the smell of gas, we recommend adding a catalyst.
The rear muffler section is crucial for producing high-pitched sounds due to the length of the unique merging section.
Additionally, in order to give a sharp contrast to the variable valve switching, we have installed large mufflers filled with glass wool on both sides so that even in residential areas, we do not compromise on the silent mode to achieve the same volume as the genuine factory model.
The muffler cutter, which serves as a tail finisher, has been developed from genuine parts and adopts a highly customized design style.
Due to its unique design, there may be limitations on the optional specifications!
