Ferrari 599GTB F1 sound Valved Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The Ferrari 599 consists of components including ① exhaust manifolds, ② downpipes, ③ center muffler, and ④ rear muffler. *The center muffler in the 599 essentially functions as a joint pipe connecting the downpipes and rear muffler, unlike in the F12 or 812, where it differs.
With the original exhaust system, fully appreciating the V12 engine sound in a Ferrari can be challenging. However, GoatStrada has pursued an F1-inspired sound, undergoing numerous redesigns while working within the vehicle's constraints, ultimately achieving the best sound design possible.
First and foremost, achieving the F1 sound in the Ferrari 599 hinges on the exhaust manifolds, which are the most crucial component. Aftermarket unequal-length manifolds focused on horsepower gains or even the stock manifolds, regardless of how well the rear muffler and downpipes are upgraded, cannot escape the distorted, heavy bass sound.
By equalizing the lengths of the exhaust manifolds, it becomes easier to unleash the authentic F1 sound of Ferrari's V12 engine. Each pipe's tolerances are extremely precise, and the development process is arduous and costly, reflecting significant labor and R&D expenses to achieve this goal. We have already sold over 20 sets, so rest assured about the fitting quality!
In addition, one essential element for achieving high-pitched sound conversion is the installation of straight downpipes.
Unlike the F12 and 812, where the center pipes connect the left and right banks, the 599 does not have such connection. Therefore, adopting an X-pipe design in the downpipe section, which originally serves the role of the center pipe, is considered crucial. This design merges exhaust gases and ensures that the sound collides appropriately, which is extremely important.
"Furthermore, the rear exhaust section can be custom-made from high-quality stainless steel or titanium. To maximize the resonance of the sound during straight-line operation, we adopt a design that allows pipes to pass through without mufflers, maximizing pipe length similar to wind instruments.
For customers preferring a silent mode comparable to the original in residential areas, we provide larger mufflers to meet these demands."
The exhaust tips, which serve as tail finishers, are available in a wide range of options to suit the vehicle's atmosphere. We also offer wholesale prices, so please feel free to contact us for more details!
