Ferrari California T 3.9L V6 F1 sound Valved Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The Ferrari California T 3.9T V6 consists of (1) downpipes, (3) center mufflers, and (4) rear exhaust.
Unlike its predecessor, the 4.3L NA, the stock muffler setup under strict Euro regulations is quite quiet and far from the typical Ferrari sound.
First, let's look at the front pipes (downpipes), which are crucial for achieving the high-pitched sound of the California T 3.9T V6.
As shown in the image, we offer heat shield processing free of charge to protect against heat damage. This eliminates the need for thermal bandaging, saving both time and money, making it a win-win solution. Additionally, the front pipes are designed longer than those of the previous 4.3L V8 model. This extended length allows for a clean, clear sound, similar to wind instruments.
Next, playing an equally crucial role as the front pipes is the center pipe.
While other companies adopt an X-pipe design, for the California series, similar to the F12 and 812, if a high-pitched sound is desired, our design is the only option. We use a design packed with expertise to maximize the resonance of the sound during straight-line operation.
And finally, for the rear exhaust, we have designed it to enhance the clarity of valve switching beyond the stock specifications. In straight mode, to eliminate any sound distortion and achieve an even purer tone, the pipes bypass the muffler, maintaining their length by passing outside the muffler.
With the valve closed, we use a meticulously calculated design for the internal piping, punching, and glass wool balance inside the muffler to achieve a silent mode, similar to stock sound levels, for use in residential areas.
