HONDA CIVIC TypeR FL5 Racing Valved Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN

The Honda Civic Type R FL5 is the 6th generation of the Civic Type R. It inherits the K20C engine from the 4th generation, which boasts a maximum output of 330 PS. This engine represents the pinnacle of Honda's cutting-edge technology, and even in its stock form, the performance is impressive.
However, the stock exhaust sound is relatively subdued. For owners who want to feel the powerful pulse of the VTEC engine and its sharp response at high RPMs, installing an aftermarket exhaust system is a great opportunity.
Our company has developed a full exhaust system, from the rear piece to the front downpipe (the first catalyst section), and we would like to introduce it here.
Let’s first take a look at the downpipe on the engine side.

The stock downpipe features a large catalytic converter to meet emissions regulations, which restricts both exhaust sound and horsepower.

Our downpipe features a 100-300 cell sports catalytic converter and a straight-pipe option. This allows for weight reduction and increases both horsepower and exhaust volume without needing to reprogram the ECU. Additionally, we offer free heat shielding, so you won’t have to deal with thermal wrap and can install it as soon as it arrives.
Next, let’s introduce the Catback System, which includes the center pipe and rear piece.

The FL5 Type R muffler is very similar to the previous FK8 model, but what stands out is the large silencers installed on the center pipe.

Inside, glass wool is packed, which can reduce exhaust efficiency.
Our center pipe is available in a straight-pipe configuration. Additionally, we can add a resonator that is designed to smooth out the exhaust tones rather than serve as a silencer. This helps remove harsh exhaust noises and maintains an optimal sound.
Finally, the rear muffler, while already employing impressive welding technology and a valve system in the stock form, still has silencers in all pipes, even when the valve is open.

We also use an adjustable muffler, but with enhancements to make the valve operation more pronounced. When the valve is open, the sound becomes more racing-oriented, with the pipe size and exhaust efficiency carefully designed to optimize the flow. Conversely, when the valve is closed, the exhaust is quiet, with large muffler chambers on each side for a gentler sound—just like the stock configuration.

We also offer a wide range of muffler tail options, allowing you to choose a design that best fits the overall look of your vehicle.

We have wholesale pricing available, so feel free to contact us for more information.
