Lotus Emira F1 sound Valved Exhuast system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The exhaust system for the Lotus Emira consists of:
Exhaust Manifold
Downpipe
Rear Exhaust
First, let’s look at the exhaust manifold and downpipe.
The stock exhaust manifold is equipped with a very large catalytic converter and has a very short pipe length, resulting in a muffled low-frequency sound.
Our exhaust manifold is designed to maximize pipe length within the limited space, producing higher-frequency sounds. To optimize exhaust efficiency, we offer not only straight pipes but also an optional 200-cell sports catalyst at an additional cost.
Next, let’s introduce the rear exhaust.
The stock rear exhaust has a very large silencer, which decreases exhaust efficiency and results in a muffled low-frequency sound.
Our rear exhaust uses an adjustable valve system to switch between different sound levels according to use.
To create a distinction between the valve's ON and OFF modes, we use a larger exhaust tip, designed so that the silent mode has a sound level comparable to the stock silent mode.
This ensures a gentlemanly specification that allows for safe driving in residential areas or at night.
When the valve is open, it maximizes the engine’s potential and produces a racing sound, making it a sound tuning item that enhances the driving experience in everyday situations.
