Maserati Levante Valved Racing Exhaust system | GWAPOTech JAPAN
The Maserati Levante 2016+ consists of three main components: ① downpipe, ② Mid pipe, and ③ Rear Exhaust.
For the diesel models, although the muffler layout is different, the Exhaust components remain the same.
It's also important to note that the muffler dimensions differ between 2WD and 4WD models. (*In the domestic market, 4WD is generally adopted as the basic configuration.)
At our company, we have developed products for all grades, including gasoline models, diesel models, and Trofeo, so you can rest assured.
First, let's look at the rear Exhaust, which is the most common part for achieving the high-pitched sound of the Maserati Levante.
Our variable rear Exhaust is designed to provide sharper valve switching than the OEM version, using a tube that is completely independent from the muffler to allow high-pitched sounds to burst at high RPMs in straight mode.
We've meticulously designed the piping, punching inside the tube, and the placement of glass wool to achieve a noise reduction level when the valve is off that matches or even exceeds the OEM standard.
Next, in addition to the rear exhaust, another key component for exhaust upgrades is the center muffler.
The stock center muffler is equipped with a large silencer and has many areas of exhaust interference. Removing these and converting it to a full straight design further enhances exhaust flow.
However, the most critical aspect when manufacturing a Mid pipe is the layout that enhances high-pitched sounds.
At our company, we offer two types of center muffler designs to ensure the optimal choice by considering the overall setup comprehensively:
1. Specification aimed at achieving high-pitched, beautiful sounds and improving torque without excessively increasing volume.
2. Specification focused on increasing volume while targeting high-pitched sounds, aiming to achieve a powerful sound similar to Ferrari.
Lastly, playing a crucial role in achieving the high-pitched sound for the Levante is the straight downpipe.
The straight downpipe is recommended for those seeking increased volume and a broader range of high RPM sounds. For individuals who find replacing the rear and Mid pipe insufficient, it represents a particularly impactful tuning option.
When prioritizing replacement based on effectiveness, both the downpipe and center muffler hold equal importance, while the rear exhaust takes a lower priority. This is because, even with the valve open, exhaust always passes through silencers and catalytic converters, which act as impediments.
Additionally, a part often overlooked in the market is the muffler tail finisher.
