The muffler for the Porsche 981 Boxster/Cayman consists of three parts: ① exhaust manifold, ② downpipe, and ③ rear exhaust.


Currently, our company is still in the process of developing the rear exhaust. Therefore, in this article, we will introduce the exhaust manifold and downpipe.


Let's start by examining the original equipment exhaust manifold.


In the original equipment, the exhaust manifold features unequal-length short tubes with large catalytic converters mandated by recent stringent emission regulations in the Eurozone. As a result, the sound naturally becomes quite subdued.

At our company, we employ a design that maximizes the length of tubes to be equal, akin to wind instruments, in order to produce beautiful tones. This design not only enhances high-pitched sound but also effectively contributes to weight reduction tuning.
