The Porsche 911 991.1 and 991.2 Carrera muffler consists of ① exhaust manifold, ② downpipe, and ③ rear exhaust.

For the early model (991.1), the downpipe is included in the exhaust manifold section.

The key difference between them lies in the OEM setup: in the early model Carrera, the exhaust manifold is longer. Conversely, the later model Carrera, like the Turbo models, features a significantly shorter exhaust manifold.

In essence, if aiming for a high-pitched racing sound, the early model Carrera is favored. Therefore, prospective buyers should consider this information before purchasing a vehicle.

Firstly, let's examine the typical rear exhaust for sound tuning in the 991 Carrera series.

Our rear exhausts are designed with a layout aimed at producing high-pitched sound, similar to the 997 Carrera.

At the X section where the pipes cross, the exhaust from both left and right banks collide, increasing the high-frequency range at high RPMs and contributing to a high-pitched sound.

Additionally, the contents of the large silencers on both sides, though not visible from the outside, are meticulously designed with calculated piping, punching, and glass wool quantities. This design ensures a sharp contrast in sound between the ON and OFF states of the valve, providing a silent mode that rivals OEM standards in terms of sound suppression, tailored for a refined driving experience.

Lastly, the exhaust manifold (headers) is the final part of our sound tuning that we will introduce.

From the factory, the Porsche 911 991 Carrera series is equipped with unequal-length exhaust manifolds, and in later models, similar to the Turbo models, the exhaust manifolds become very short. This configuration results in very low sound volume and does not produce high-pitched sound qualities.

To address this, we have developed equal-length long-tube exhaust manifolds for the 991 Carrera series, similar to other models in the 911 lineup.

Each tube diameter has been designed narrower than OEM specifications, and they are elongated like wind instruments to produce high-pitched sounds without distortion.

Furthermore, as an additional option, we offer the installation of sports catalytic converters up to 200 cells while maintaining the equal-length design.

For those seeking ultra-high-pitched sounds, we recommend replacing not only the rear exhaust with the high-pitched specification featuring the X-tube design where exhausts collide on both sides, but also upgrading to these equal-length long-tube exhaust manifolds.

Amidst the unprecedented Carrera boom, let's enrich the daily driving experience by adding sound tuning to the 991 Carrera series, which is gaining renewed attention!
